Over the New year’s even weekend we finished a 5E conversion of the D&D classic, Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan.

Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan is a classic adventure from 1980 that is set in the world of Greyhawk in the 1st version of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. This adventure was a really great time. One of the most fun adventures in recent memory. Pat, our DM and co-cofounder of the Dragon’s Cup, knocked it out of the park for us.

There is a A LOT of creepy flavor and atmosphere happening in this adventure. Chult, the jungle the shrine is in, as well as the shrine itself has some really unique encounters and locations. The heat of the sweltering jungle environment, the jungle undead, and the “Aztec-like” motif of the whole adventure was really cool and imaginative. There is a lot going on in this campaign, despite it being somewhat short.

I highly recommend this 5E conversion, particularly if you like ghosts, haunted spirits, jungles and some solid intrigue.
